Monetary donations help cover veterinary care, supplies, and shelter operations. Gently-used items may be donated to our resale store. We are currently in need of: Bleach, Fabuloso, trash bags, dish soap, laundry detergent, antibacterial wipes, and hand sanitizer.

Volunteers are crucial to our mission. Our shelter relies on caring individuals to help walk and socialize dogs, care for cats, assist at our resale store, perform repairs, or share whatever skills you have.

Foster a Pet

Want to save a life? Each pet that goes to a foster home makes room at SAFE’s shelter so an additional pet facing euthanasia can be rescued. Foster homes are also needed for puppies and kittens who need quiet care. There is no commitment to a specific time period. You may request a particular pet, though we often send long-term shelter pets to give them a much-needed break.
